Passport Health to be Represented at Loyola University’s Career Forum in Baltimore, MD


BALTIMORE, MD – 3/22/2011 – Loyola University Maryland is holding its 3rd annual Baltimore Career Forum on March 23rd at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, MD. The event is organized and supported by the Loyola University Alumni Association. 150-200 alumni and current students are expected to participate in the event.


The agenda includes panels in the areas of accounting/banking/finance, education, law, health care, communications/entrepreneur/marketing/sales, information technology, health services/pastoral counseling, and nonprofit.

The forum also serves as a networking event for alumni, current graduate students, and current undergraduate seniors. Mark Debinski, Managing Member of Bluewater Advisory, will be moderating the panel discussions. Jorge Castillo, Corporate Director of Business Development for Passport Health, will be a panelist in the Communications/ Entrepreneur/ Marketing/ Sales section. “I am honored to participate in this event,” says Castillo, who is highly involved in supporting his alma mater. Passport Health, the nation’s leader in travel medical services, is a Baltimore founded business which, with Castillo’s help, grew to be the largest network of travel vaccine clinics in the United States. The goal of the career forum is to showcase how powerful Loyola’s alumni network is and how alumni and current students can benefit from being a part of it. “We want alumni to tell their story about how they were able to climb the corporate ladder and become successful business professionals. This is an opportunity for alumni to positively impact the career paths of fellow Greyhounds,” notes Christopher Johnson, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, Regional Programs.

Passport Health has been actively involved with Loyola University’s alumni association and hosted a “Loyola After 5” event at their corporate headquarters in Baltimore, MD. Fran Lessans, Founder and CEO of Passport Health, presented her story of how she founded Passport Health, her entrepreneurial spirit and how challenging but rewarding it is to be a franchisor for over 60 franchisees. “We are proud to announce that Passport Health is a recipient of the 2011 Franchisee Satisfaction Award and that all hard work is appreciated and recognized”, notes Lessans.

Passport Health to attend 2011 US- Balkans Business Summit in Baltimore, MD



BALTIMORE, MD- 3/22/11- Passport Health’s Corporate Director of Business Development, Jorge Castillo, and Sales & Marketing Manager, Tammy Broghammer, have been invited by the Secretary of State of Maryland, John P. McDonough, to attend the 2011 U.S. – Balkans Business Summit. The summit will be held on March 23rd- 24th, 2011 at the University of Baltimore.


The event is organized by the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, the Maryland Secretary of State, John P. McDonough, the law offices of Charles T. Dillon, the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland, and the U.S. Balkans Business Alliance.

The goal of the summit is to “strengthen business relations and promote bilateral trade between the United States and the Western Balkan countries.” Prominent participants include President Bakir Izetbegovic, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, President Filip Vujanovic of Montenegro, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Peshevski of Macedonia, Deputy Prime Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila of Kosovo.

“We are honored to be invited to such a pivotal event,” noted Jorge Castillo, “Passport Health is highly involved in promoting trade and international travel. We understand the importance of reigniting the vibrant trade relationships the U.S. and Balkan countries once enjoyed,” he added.

In August of 2010, Passport Health Sr. VP of Clinical Operations, Carol DeRosa, participated in a delegation of U.S. Businesses that visited Xiamen, China to help promote trade and investment opportunities. John P. McDonough was among the travelers. Both DeRosa and Broghammer are members of the Baltimore-Xiamen-Sister-City-Committee while DeRosa serves on the Board of Directors of the MD-China Business Council.
